We founded OCS in the Summer of 2025 because there was no outlet at Oxford University for students to explore and connect with the commodity trading industry.

15 months on from then, we have hosted almost 30 events from traders and leading voices from across the industry.

We have built a membership at Oxford of over 300 students, many of whom discovered the industry through our events

​

We have successfully hosted a recruitment project at Oxford for a leading trading house, and organised the university's first ever trip to visit the major trading houses in Geneva for students
